Dear delegates and esteemed guests,

Welcome to KAMUN 2026, King’s Academy’s seventeenth annual Model United Nations conference. My name is Hashem Hatamleh, and I have the honor of serving as the Secretary-General of KAMUN’26.

It is remarkable to contribute to a seventeen-year journey of KAMUN, and even more meaningful that this year, KAMUN and I share something beyond politics and debate. Our conference is seventeen this year, and so am I. Seventeen is the age at which opportunities flourish, and one must seize them and keep their eyes fixed on the summit ahead. Competition for opportunity has become more rigorous than ever before. And with rapid global development, tragedy has become an unfortunate, yet undeniable, consequence. Genocide, civil war, cyber attacks, and territorial disputes are only a few of humanity’s gravest challenges. Still, our mission is not merely to reflect on these crises, but to analyze them, debate them, and confront the fires ignited by generations before us.

When I signed up for my first MUN, I didn’t yet feel the thrill, nor did I fully understand what I was getting into. But the moment I spoke in a room filled with ambitious young leaders, I fell in love with the intensity of debate, the face-offs, the improvisation, and the challenge of speaking under pressure. MUN not only shaped my character; it helped me develop skills I never imagined I could embody. This year at KAMUN’26, I expect delegates to take initiative, craft innovative solutions to international conflicts, and, most importantly, develop themselves and adopt new perspectives that allow them to Scale the Summit. Over the three days we share, we must transform our status from spectators to real-world diplomats.

On that note, I look forward to welcoming you this February.

Dear Delegates and Esteemed Guests,
Welcome to KAMUN 2026, King’s Academy’s seventeenth annual Model United Nations conference. My name is Talal Khaldi, and I am honored to serve as your Deputy Secretary-General for a weekend that I believe can reshape the way we see our world and ourselves.
KAMUN has always stood for more than debate. It is a gathering of perspectives, a meeting point where stories cross, and a reminder that even in a fragmented world, people can come together with purpose. And if there is anything our generation has learned, it is that purpose is needed now more than ever.
Across the globe, conflict strains the bounds of diplomacy, resources grow scarcer, and technology evolves faster than our ethics can catch it. Here in the Middle East, these pressures feel even more immediate. We live in a region marked by history and hope, hardship and resilience. Yet through it all, diplomacy has remained our most reliable compass.
My journey in MUN began quietly. I was the delegate who blended into the background, convinced that my silence was safer than being wrong. And then one day, I wasn’t. I spoke, not because I felt ready, but because I believed I had something worth defending. That belief was challenged. And in the process of debating, listening, and realizing I was wrong, I discovered something far more valuable than being right: I discovered growth. Since then, every conference has been another step upward, my own climb toward the summit of confidence, clarity, and conviction. I am still climbing.
This year, I invite you to climb with me. Challenge your assumptions. Question what you think you know. Be firm in your values but open to change. In a world desperate for leadership, your willingness to stretch beyond comfort may be the very thing that sets you apart.
The world is growing ever more impatient; the path awaits. Start climbing

Dear Delegates and Esteemed Guests,
It is my honor to welcome you to KAMUN 2026. My name is Jude Sulh, and I am privileged to serve as your Deputy Secretary-General for a conference defined by ambition, purpose, and a shared commitment to rising higher together.
My MUN journey began long before I ever imagined writing this message. I first joined KAMUN in 7th grade as a Mini-KAMUNer—wide-eyed, nervous, and unsure of where to begin. I remember clutching my placard like a lifeline, wondering whether my voice truly belonged in rooms filled with confidence and debate. But with every conference I attended, every clause I crafted, and every moment I pushed myself past hesitation, I discovered something essential: debate is not a skill you simply have, it is a voice you build. It grows each time you choose to speak when silence feels easier, and strengthens every time you step into challenge rather than away from it.
Today, we gather at a time when global challenges seem to outpace the solutions meant to address them. The world often feels steep, uneven, and uncertain, yet it is in these very conditions that young people like you prove just how capable, resilient, and innovative you truly are. Your willingness to question, to collaborate, and to confront difficult realities is a powerful reminder that progress is already in motion.
As you enter your committees, I encourage you to ask yourself:
What summit will you choose to scale?
What challenge will you rise to not because it is simple, but because it is meaningful?
This year, we rise not in isolation, but in solidarity. We climb together, learn together, and lead together. Every crisis you analyze, every amendment you negotiate, and every coalition you form is a step upward.
In pursuit of the summit,
Jude Sulh
Deputy Secretary-General
