Economic and Social Council

Dear Delegates of the Economic and Social Council,
It is my honour to welcome you to KAMUN'26. My name is Salma Dajani, and I am pleased to serve as your President. I am a junior at King's Academy and have been participating in MUN since the eighth grade. I look forward to working with you as we explore important global issues and think together about ways to create positive change.
Our committee will discuss two main topics. The first is the Economic and Social Implications of the New BRICS Currency Initiative, which asks us to consider how changes in international financial systems can influence different sectors around the world. The second is the Role of Microfinance in Women’s Economic Empowerment in Kenya, a topic that highlights how access to financial services can support development and improve lives.
I encourage you to approach our discussions with curiosity, cooperation, and an open mind. I am confident that through thoughtful dialogue, we can turn challenges into opportunities for progress.
Best regards,
Salma Dajani
President of the Economic and Social Council
