Dear Delegates of the General Assembly,
 

It is my pleasure to welcome you to KAMUN’26 under this year’s theme, Scale The Summit. In the General Assembly, we will explore diverse perspectives while addressing global issues that shape our world.
 

My name is Tareq Oweis, an eleventh-grader at King’s Academy and this year’s President of the General Assembly. What makes this committee unique is its constant global relevance. Our discussions will challenge us to think beyond borders and create solutions that benefit the international community as a whole.
 

Whether this is your first conference or your twentieth, I hope you leave with something valuable—be it a passion for debate, a deeper understanding of global affairs, or the confidence to speak up. Let KAMUN’26 be an experience that stays with you.
 

This year, we will focus on two topics: Global Efforts to Address the Aftermath of the Syrian Refugee Crisis, and Enhancing Maritime Security Against Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.
